In honor of the seventh annual EMS appreciation week, local first responders were celebrated at First Responders Day on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Big Jakes Bar-b-que was served to all first sponsors to honor their efforts and dedications at Texarkana, Arkansas Convention Center, and Texarkana, Texas Convention Center. This event was sponsored by Texarkana Emergency Center & Hospital, Eagle Distributing, Farmers Bank & Trust, and Texarkana Funeral Home.
