63rd Annual Kiwanis Club Pancake Day
The Kiwanis Club of Texarkana has a mission to improve the world, one child and one community at a time. The 83 members of the Kiwanis Club once again invite all residents of the Ark-La-Tex to join them on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Truman Arnold Center on Texarkana College’s campus for the 63rd Annual Pancake Day fundraiser event! Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the event. Without a doubt, Pancake Day is the best breakfast deal in town: it is an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, complete with sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, coffee, juice, and milk! All proceeds will go towards funding local organizations which directly impact the lives of children in our community.
Just which organizations do these intrepid civically-minded Kiwanians help? The organizations cover the spectrum of children’s activities, including: Scouts BSA, Randy Sams, PRIDE Academy, KIDS Camp, Challenged Outdoorsmen of America, Literacy Council, Partnership for the Pathway, United Way Stuff the Bus, United Way Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Texas Ramp Project and many more! In addition to supporting other organizations, Kiwanis helps school-aged children from elementary school through high school learn leadership and communications skills through the Builder’s Club, Key Club and K-Kids.
Pancake Day is truly a community event. Not only do thousands of people enjoy a short stack of delicious pancakes for a great cause, but sponsors make a huge impact. In addition, the Kiwanians invite anyone interested in carrying out this mission to join the Kiwanis Club of Texarkana. You will join a very diverse group of civic-minded group, representing many different industries and companies right here in Texarkana.
