Solarbration TXK 2024

Solarbration TXK 2024 illuminated the Texas-Arkansas border during the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, drawing Texarkana locals and visitors from around the globe to commemorate this extraordinary phenomenon. Attendees enjoyed the festivities, which featured performances by The Emerald City Band, an assortment of food trucks, and local shopping.


Pitch It Texarkana 2024

The 3rd Annual Pitch It Texarkana Entrepreneurial Competition was held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Crossties in Downtown Texarkana. The winning entrepreneurs were awarded $7,500 for first place, $5,000 for second place, and $2,500 for third place. Inaugural TRAHC Honors Gala 2024

The Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council's inaugural gala, TRAHC Honors, took place on Saturday, March 23. The inaugural honorees were mixed-media artist Cindy Holmes, fashion designer Be Norman, and furniture makers, designers, and photographers Steve, Ben, and Patrick Mayo. The Regional Arts Center was transformed with Grammy-nominated music, award-winning artists, and creative fun.


Grace House Gala 2024

The Second Annual Grace House Gala was held at the Canvas Special Events Center on Friday, March 15, 2024. This year's theme was a Masquerade Gala. It was a beautiful evening with dinner, dancing, live music, and a silent auction benefiting the rescue of women and children in the Ark-La-Tex.

Grace House is a transitional living home for mothers and children in crisis. Grace House creates an atmosphere of hope, love, and support by cultivating a safe home. You can follow their journey @gracehousetexarkana.


1st Annual Brian Harris Foundation Golf & Pickleball Tournament

On Friday, March 8, and Sunday, March 10, friends and family of the late Brian Harris hosted the 1st Annual Brian Harris Foundation Golf & Pickleball Tournament. The foundation was established to honor all that Brian accomplished with his nursing career and to pay it forward. 18th Annual Harvest Texarkana Wine & Jazz Gala

The 18th Annual Harvest Texarkana Wine and Jazz Gala took place on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Silvermoon on Broad. The attendees enjoyed expertly selected wine and gourmet food pairings, live music, and a silent auction. Wines were paired with each gourmet item prepared by some of the area's top chefs. The support received from the community helps make it possible for Harvest Regional Food Bank to provide meals to food-insecure individuals.


ASPSF receives MLK Acts of Kindness Commitment to Service Award

Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund (ASPSF) was honored on January 28, 2024, at the Ozan-Inghram Iron Mountain Neighborhood Development Corporation’s 20th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend Celebration Gala at Texarkana College. The corporation selected the nonprofit for the 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Acts of Kindness Commitment to Service Award based on ASPSF’s ethical conduct, integrity, and civic and social responsibility to the local community.

2024 Texarkana Chamber of Commerce Annual Celebration

The Texarkana USA Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Celebration at the Perot Theatre on Friday, January 26, 2024. The event featured a delightful culinary experience provided by Pecan Point. The Annual Chamber Celebration is an occasion dedicated to commemorating the achievements of the chamber and its partners in the previous year. … This year's event featured the renowned sports author Ross Bernstein as the guest speaker. The nominees and recipients of awards were selected through nominations from chamber partners.

TRAHC Gala Unveiling 2024

TRAHC hosted its first annual "Unveiling Toast" on Thursday, January 11, at the Texarkana Regional Arts Center. This was a kick-off event announcing the 2024 honorees: mixed-media artist Cindy Holmes, fashion designer Be Norman, and Steven, Ben & Patrick Mayo for their furniture design and photography. The inaugural TRAHC Honors Gala will take place on March 23, 2024, at the Regional Arts Center. In addition to celebrating the honorees, the Dallas String Quartet and The Band Q will be performing. United Way of Greater Texarkana Uncork Your Support

The United Way of Greater Texarkana held its 9th Annual "Uncork Your Support" fundraiser on November 16, 2023, in the Studio 71 space at The Historic 1894 building. The community came together in a celebration of giving, all while enjoying the soulful tunes of local band Split Decision and savoring delectable delights courtesy of the talented Marjorie Slimer. Guests also participated in a raffle and silent auction, made possible through generous local donors. Proceeds from the event benefit the annual United Way campaign.
