CASA Colorful 5K
The CASA Colorful 5K and Family Run is back! Join us this Saturday, April 24, at Trinity Baptist Church for a morning full of fun for the whole family. The Kids Fun Run (ages 5-12) will begin at 8:30 am, followed by the Adult Run at 9:00 am. The race begins with each participant releasing a bag of color into the air creating a beautiful burst of color at the starting line. Stations will also be located throughout the race where runners will be showered with brightly colored powder. This is not a timed race, however, medals will be awarded to first, second and third place in both the kids and adult run. There will also be plenty of kid-friendly activities including a bounce house, obstacle course, snow cones and more. Registration is open through Friday, April 23. All proceeds from this event benefit CASA for Children and the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center. In 2020, these agencies served just over 1,100 child abuse survivors. The race will go on in the event of rain, but will be cancelled if lightning and thunder are present due to safety concerns. Those already registered will be allowed to pick up their shirts at the CASA office from 9 am - 4 pm daily beginning the Monday following the scheduled race day
