2026 We Are Washington Gala
We Are Washington, a local nonprofit whose mission is to cultivate the youth of our community into motivated and upstanding individuals, hosted its inaugural We Are One: We Are Washington Gala on March 12, 2026, at the Arkansas Convention Center. The nonprofit is housed at the Washington Community Development Center, formerly Booker T. Washington High School. The building has been transformed into a hub for life skills development, sporting events, tutoring, community gatherings, and more. The center is also home to several other nonprofits, which are housed there rent-free.
The gala, benefiting We Are Washington, brought together business owners and community leaders to show their support for the organization’s work in Texarkana. The evening featured both live and silent auctions, music by Michael Rhodes & the Jive Band, and a delicious meal provided by Benchmark, along with presenting sponsor Red River Credit Union.
