Wacha Family All-Sports Camp 2026
On January 10, 2026, local youth gathered at Pleasant Grove Athletic Facility for the annual Wacha Family & Friends All-Sports Camp. It was a high-energy community event led by Texarkana native and Major League Baseball pitcher Michael Wacha and his family. Campers participated in hands-on skill sessions across multiple sports, guided by professional athletes, local coaches, and volunteers. The day was filled with teamwork, encouragement, and fun, all while supporting a meaningful cause.
The evening concluded with a sponsorship banquet dinner at Texas A&M–Texarkana’s Eagle Hall, where approximately 200 attendees enjoyed dinner, entertainment, and a memorabilia auction. During the event, a $40,000 check was presented to the Salvation Army Red Shield Youth Center, and nine Texas A&M–Texarkana scholarships were awarded to area high school students, underscoring the Wacha family’s continued investment in local youth and education.
