A View from Tall Oaks
Built in 2022 in the Tall Oaks Subdivision of Texarkana, Arkansas, the home of Daphne and Mike Cox is a stunning blend of modern elegance and natural beauty. Thoughtfully designed to reflect their vision, every detail—from the sleek, open-concept interior to the breathtaking outdoor spaces—was chosen with purpose.
For Mike, the standout feature is the patio and pool area—the very space that convinced him to build this home. Meanwhile, Daphne finds joy in the outdoor kitchen, where she loves to cook and grill. Together, these areas create the perfect balance of relaxation and entertainment.
One of the home’s most remarkable features is the view. Whether watching cows graze during the day or hearing coyotes in the distance at night, the peaceful surroundings make it feel like a countryside retreat, though right in town.

“The rectangular pool with a hot tub is a favorite for both the grandchildren and the Golden Retriever!”—Daphne Cox

“Mike and I had a clear vision for the interior—we wanted a seamless transition from a traditional home to a modern, organized space. While many pieces came from fun shopping trips to Dallas with my girlfriends, we also collaborated with Sandra Verser at Four States Furniture to select several key furniture pieces and rugs.”
—Daphne Cox

“Overall, no splurges from the original plan. Unfortunately, we did build during Covid, so materials, labor, and appliances went up. That made everything a splurge.”
—Mike Cox
