How to get a Marriage License in Arkansas or Texas
Time to get your marriage license. Here’s a step-by-step guide for either state.
1. Set Date—Make sure you know your date before applying.
2. Apply—Both parties must appear in person to apply. In Texas, you can fill out the application online beforehand, but both of you must still go to the county clerk’s office together to complete the process.
3. ID REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver’s licenses, state issued ID, Military ID or Passport are required for both applicants.
Your Social Security card or knowledge of the number.
4. Fee
$60 for Arkansas residents
$81 for Texas residents

Texas
The license is only valid for 90 days within the State of Texas from the date of issuance.
The marriage ceremony may not take place during a 72-hour period immediately following the issuance of the marriage license

Arkansas
