Anyone who knows me knows how much I love taking baths! And when I say I love taking baths, I mean that 95% of my life is spent in the bathtub. There’s no way I could do justice to the euphoric feeling I get when I’m soaking my worries away in the bathtub through simply words alone, so I won’t even try. I really just want it to be known to Texarkana and the surrounding areas that I love taking baths… that’s all.
I know I’m supposed to be encouraging everyone reading this article to get out there and enjoy the awesome events Texarkana offers each month, but sometimes I’m really, really tempted to just jump in the bathtub and never get out again, and, if you, reader, ever feel the same way I do, just know that this is a safe space, a no judgement zone, where you can be your most free, shamelessly unabashed, bath-enjoying self anytime you want to. But let’s tap in to our inner social butterflies this month and attend everything Texarkana has going on in September!

I still remember my miniature blue wax-covered ear plugs from this type of event many, many years ago, when I was just a wee child. And this month, we have two chances to enjoy all the excitement of monster trucks running over smaller objects and doing other loud things, all in the name of fun. Music, food, auction items, fun putt and making a difference for local cancer patients all at the same time? This sounds like a fundraiser where anyone could have fun. This event will benefit Angel Fund Foundation and its continued assistance of cancer patients in our community. Putt For A Purpose is a drawdown event and dinner, featuring musical entertainment, silent auction and fun putt. A drawdown ticket or sponsorship must be purchased for entry into the event.
