Maud ISD 2026 Top Ten
Valedictorian: Austin James Kennedy

Valedictorian Austin James Kennedy is the grandson of Lonna Nunn. Austin was a member of the Maud Esports team. He will attend Texas A&M University–Texarkana, where he will be a member of the Eagle Esports team. He plans to pursue a degree in computer engineering. He also graduated with his associate degree from Texarkana College.
Salutatorian: William Ian McCauley

Salutatorian William Ian McCauley is the son of Elizabeth McCauley and Amanda McCormack. William was active in the Cardinal Band and participated in UIL academic competitions. He will attend Texas A&M University–Texarkana and plans to become a physician.
Braylen Kane Bush

Braylen Kane Bush, the highest-ranking senior, is the son of Dana and Charles Bush. Braylen played basketball and was active in the Maud High School Student Council, where he served as vice president. He was also a student liaison for the School Health Advisory Council. Braylen will attend Texas A&M University–Texarkana and pursue a degree in engineering.
Anna Jolleen Briggs-Rowton

Anna Joleen Briggs-Rowton is the daughter of Sharon Briggs and Charles Steed. Anna Jo served as the senior class representative for the Maud High School Student Council and was active in the Silvermoon Children's Theatre program in Texarkana. She also served as a student liaison for the School Health Advisory Council. Anna Jo will attend Texarkana College to begin her journey toward becoming an elementary teacher.
Alleigh Rynne Carrell

Alleigh Rynne Carrell is the daughter of Toni and Buddy Carrell. Alleigh served as spirit vice president of the Maud High School Student Council and was also a student liaison for the School Health Advisory Council. She plans to enter the workforce.
Samuel Jaxon Sanders

Samuel Jaxon Sanders is the son of Abigail and Kyle Sanders. Sam was active in UIL academic competitions and also served as a student liaison for the School Health Advisory Council. He will attend Texas A&M University–Texarkana to pursue a degree in engineering.
Dax Michael Cunningham

Dax Michael Cunningham is the son of Tina and Dusty Cunningham. Dax played football and was active in various agricultural competitions. He also served as president of the Maud Student Council. Dax will attend Texas A&M University–Texarkana and pursue a degree in electrical engineering.
Desiree Allyn Bowder

Desiree Allyn Bowder is the granddaughter of Angela Hall. Desiree was an active member of the Cardinal Band and served as a senior representative for the Maud Student Council. She will attend Texarkana College to begin her path toward becoming a veterinarian.
Brady Kole Allison
Brady Kole Allison is the son of LeAnn and Josh Allison. While in high school, Brady was active in the Cardinal athletic program. He was selected to play football in the FCA Senior Showdown and served as parliamentarian for the Maud Student Council. Brady plans to attend Texas A&M University–Texarkana and become a teacher and coach.
Savannah MeChelle Shaw

Savannah MeChelle Shaw is the daughter of Amanda and Gerald Holt. Savannah will attend the University of Texas at Tyler in the fall and plans to become a pediatric physician.
