A New Home for Four States Furniture on Walton Drive

Four States Furniture, a furniture store serving the Ark-La-Tex for 48 years, has relocated its flagship Texarkana showroom from Richmond Road to a totally remodeled location at 502 Walton Drive. The move marks one of the biggest changes in company history and gives area shoppers a furniture and mattress destination unlike anything else in the region.
The company's roots trace back to 1978, when it opened as Wilson's Furniture and Appliance in Hope, Arkansas. Nearly five decades later, the Wilson family still leads the business, and that family ownership remains central to how Four States operates. The new Walton Drive location was designed with that legacy in mind, a bigger store with a fresh take on the shopping experience.
Guests visiting the new furniture store on Walton Drive will find more than 130 fully styled vignettes, an expanded mattress gallery, and a dedicated design center where customers can sit down with a designer and work through fabric choices, layouts, and custom pieces for their own homes. A refreshment center rounds out the space, giving shoppers a place to slow down rather than rush through a transaction. Mitzi Dowd, the company's marketing director, said the goal from the start was to build something that feels both elevated and welcoming, a place where customers can walk in and see real possibilities for their homes.
The expanded space also gives Four States room to carry a lineup of brands not always easy to find under one roof in this area. Shoppers will find furniture from Four Hands, Bassett, Bernhardt Furniture, La-Z-Boy, Hooker Furniture, Classic Home, John Richards, and American Leather, along with MotoMotion for something different. The mattress gallery brings in Tempur-Pedic, Serta, and Beautyrest, giving customers a real range to test out in person before deciding.
The company celebrated the opening with a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 4, joined by local chamber representatives and community leaders. Grand opening offers and events continue through the month for anyone who has not yet made the trip out to see the new space in person. Beyond the showroom floor, Four States Furniture has built a reputation for showing up in the community, supporting organizations including Hope to Dream, Homes for Heroes, and Tunnels to Towers, part of what the team calls a mission of enriching lives with furniture for every home.
For customers, the services have not changed, only expanded. Four States offers custom furniture and design solutions, premium delivery and assembly, and a dedicated in-house service team to handle anything that comes up after the sale.
