How did you meet?
We met at church. He started attending, and I later found out he had an interest in me. He reached out, we started talking, went on our first date, and the rest is history!
What drew you to each other?
I loved his sense of humor—he kept me laughing and always knew how to have a good time. From the start, he made me feel completely at ease, and even though I hadn’t known him long, it felt like we had known each other forever.
Who was in your wedding party?
Our wedding party was a beautiful mix of people from different chapters of our lives. I was surrounded by my longtime best friend, my siblings, and friends who have become like family over the years. One of the most special parts was having my stepdaughter as my junior bridesmaid.
Decosta was the same, the groomsmen were his long-time best friend, friends from high school, and close friends. Our day would not have been complete without them being a part of it. We couldn’t have picked a better wedding party.
What was your favorite part of your wedding?
The best part was having all our friends and family there to celebrate with us. We enjoyed every bit of it! Every person there has played a special part in our lives in some way, and to have everyone in the same building was the best day ever. We all danced the night away and had a great time!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to the Bahamas. It was so beautiful, and it was nice getting to unplug and enjoy each other.
