Fontenot-Hebert Wedding

Theresa Adler Fontenot and Daniel Hebert
November 24, 2023

How did you meet?
We met online at Catholicmatch.com. Go figure! He was the first guy I really texted and "spoke" with! How crazy that someone against internet dating met her husband while simply wanting to visit with like-minded people. God sure works in mysterious ways.

What drew you to each other?
Our beliefs and similarities in various aspects of our lives initially drew us together. We had such wonderful, honest, and heartfelt conversations. We felt like giddy teenagers again, talking on the phone until one or two o'clock in the morning.

Tell us about the proposal.
On Valentine's Day last year, Daniel cooked a wonderful meal and set a formal table setting. His girls helped dip chocolate strawberries. It was just the two of us, and he spent time putting together a playlist of all our favorite and meaningful songs. He played it for me, and at the end, it was the Train song "Marry Me," and he pulled a ring out from behind him. So romantic!

Tell us about your wedding party. Who was in it, and why?
Our wedding party was all family. My boys were his groomsmen, and his oldest son was his best man. My bridesmaids were his daughters, and my matron of honor was my sister, who is also my very best friend. Our flower girls were my twin nieces.

What was your favorite part of your wedding?
Our wedding date was chosen because it was the date of his parents' 50th Wedding anniversary, so it was SO special to share the day with them.

Were there any unique challenges when planning your wedding?
We kept it small, just family and some close friends. So, it was not very stressful as my phenomenal wedding planner, Kristen Helms, handled all the stress for me.

Did you go on a honeymoon? Where?
We went to Mexico a month after the wedding and plan on a bigger trip, hopefully this summer.

What makes your love story special?
It's pretty unbelievable that we met online with no intention that we would fall in love. It is amazing when you put Christ first in your relationship, and your lives are so well-balanced and enriched.

What about your life together are you most excited about?
We are both older and have intentionally worked to find the best version of who we can be. The level of communication and respect we have with each other shows in every aspect of our lives. From how we worship, raise children, and do household duties, even how we look at business together is affected and enhanced by our mutual love and respect. We want to spend time together!
