Women for A&M-Texarkana presented a Gourmet Dinner and Auction on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Texarkana Country Club.

Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour followed by a four-course gourmet dinner by renowned chef Eric Dreyer of Monarch Restaurant in Dallas, Texas. There was an energetic live auction and live entertainment.

Benefits from the dinner provide generous scholarships for students attending Texas A&M University-Texarkana.

Joseph Raymond Fine Art Studio hosted a pop-up art show on August 25 and 26, 2023, for Texarkana native, Tyler S. Arnold. Tyler is an accomplished artist with a passion for creating vibrant and striking works of art. He has been honing his skills for over a decade, and his unique style blends modern and traditional techniques. Joseph Raymond has hosted Tyler at his gallery since opening, and they both support and encourage each other's creativity.

Local musical talent, Jack Humphrey (18), released an original worship single, Close to Me, to Apple Music and Spotify on August 5, 2023. A release party was held at Local Habit Coffee Company to celebrate. Jack and the PowerHouse Worship Band from Church on the Rock -Texarkana performed the new song and other favorites to a packed house. Check out the new single on Apple Music and Spotify.

Northridge Country Club hosted its annual Independence Celebration and Member Appreciation event on June 29. Members and guests enjoyed live music, dinner, drinks, fireworks, and fellowship.

The Debutante Cotillion Club of Texarkana honored the 2023 debutantes at the annual Announcement Tea on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Texarkana Country Club. This year's debutantes are Kelsey Allison Clark, Mary Margaret Dowd, Raegan Lee Durmon, Olivia Grace George, Helen Clark Hays, Noelle Elise Sherman, Landry Grace Trammell, and Lucy Brooke Woodman.

In honor of the eighth annual EMS Appreciation Week, local first responders were celebrated at First Responders Day on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Big Jakes Bar-B-Que was served to all first sponsors to honor their efforts and dedications at Crossties in Downtown Texarkana. This event was sponsored by Texarkana Emergency Center & Hospital, Eagle Distributing, Farmers Bank & Trust, and Texarkana Funeral Home.
