United Way 2019 Campaign Recognition Lunch

A letter from United Way of Greater Texarkana Executive Director Mark Bledsoe … To our Community and Campaign Supporters: … On Monday, June 22, 2020, United Way of Greater Texarkana was able to have the first board meeting since February 17th. It was a lunch at Silver Star Smokehouse with board members and Texarkana, Arkansas Mayor Allen Brown in attendance. Due to COVID-19, our annual United Way of Greater Texarkana 2019 Campaign Recognition Breakfast had to be cancelled. Although this was a general UWGT board meeting, many campaign recognition awards were handed out.

5th Annual First Responders' Day

A live media event at 10 am proclaimed Wednesday, May 20, 2020, as EMS Appreciation Day in honor of First Responders. Free lunch from Big Jakes BBQ for approximately 250 local first responders was provided by Texarkana Emergency Center & Hospital, Eagle Distributing, Farmers Bank & Trust and Texarkana Funeral Home. … Click here to watch the media event that streamed live on Facebook.
