Hooks ISD 2025 Senior Perspective

A Message from 2025 Hooks High School Valedictorian Brenley Patterson … Good evening, parents, friends, teachers, administrators, and, of course, the graduating class of 2025. Today is the day we say goodbye to our past, and hello to our future. No matter what our reasons were for choosing Hooks High School so very few years ago, what is important now is all the hard work we have put in to reach our future dreams.


TASD 2025 Senior Perspective

It feels surreal to be an Arkansas High School graduate! Just yesterday, it seems, I was starting my first year of school in the Texarkana Arkansas School District, and now, here I am, ready to embark on new adventures! My time at Arkansas High was marked by tons of laughter and tears, but most importantly, the countless memories and friendships I've made within these walls.

TASD 2025 Top Ten

1. Nevaeh Michelle Walker … … Ranked first in her class with a GPA of 4.6719, Nevaeh Michelle Walker is the daughter of Whittney and Ernest Walker. Since joining TASD in the 8th grade, Nevaeh has demonstrated academic excellence and leadership. A recipient of the QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship, she has earned a full scholarship to Barnard College worth $325,000. She graduates with the distinguished AP Capstone Diploma and is a Summa Cum Laude Honor Graduate.

Ashdown High School 2025 Honor Graduates

Valedictorian— Kaitlyn Jones … … Kaitlyn Jones, daughter of Cristal and Jon Jones, was involved in Beta Club, National Honor Society, AHS Tutoring, TARGETS, and was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Kaitlyn was a member of the basketball and volleyball Pantherettes teams. She will attend Southern Arkansas University to major in Nursing and plans to attend medical school to become a pediatrician.

Thank you all for being here on this special day. … It's an honor to be here addressing you all as Valedictorian of Texas High, and I’m forever grateful to have had the privilege of receiving such a quality education. I know that's unfortunately more than a lot of people can say. We live in a world where receiving an education is often a luxury in many parts.

… … Oviya Elisabeth Justin has been named the Valedictorian for the 2025 graduating class of Texas High School. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Justin. Oviya is an AP Scholar with Distinction, Texas Scholar, Distinguished Achievement Program graduate, and an H. Ross Perot STEM Academy graduate. She was selected to the National Honor Society, Quill & Scroll International Honor Society for High School Journalists, and Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society, where she served as President.
